"Conscious Pregnancy, Conscious Birthing" by Kate White and Lois Tresize.

This presentation shows curriculum that supports expectant couples prenatally and with labor and delivery. Kate White, MA, CMT, RSCT developed a prenatal education course called Conscious Pregnancy combining pre- and perinatal psychology, mind-body medicine, the science of attachment, and art.  Lois Trezise, CMN, MSN, is nurse midwife of 30 years, and is certified in hypnosis.  She developed a course called Conscious Birthing using hypnotic induction. This presentation will show what worked in curriculum development.  Storytelling emphasizes listening to couples, the science of attachment, continuity of providers and quality of care.   Video clips, slides of artwork, cirrucula will be available.

Lois Trezise has been attending births for almost 30 years and is certified in hypnosis.  Kate White is a massage and craniosacral therapist, and an educator who supports families from the prenatal period through early childhood.
